Emory & Henry Women’s Soccer Tabbed Eighth In SAC Coaches’ Preseason Poll

ROCK HILL, S.C. – The Emory & Henry University Women's Soccer Team has been picked to finish in eighth place in the South Atlantic Conference this year by the league's head coaches. The poll was released by the SAC office on Tuesday. The Wasps finished last season with a 7-8-2 record, 3-7-1 in the SAC and came up just short of reaching the SAC Tournament. Eighth is the highest preseason ranking for E&H since the Wasps were picked to finish eighth in the ODAC prior to the 2015 season.

Wingate University is picked as favorites to take the league with five first-place votes. Catawba College is second with four top picks, while Lenoir-Rhyne University is third with the final two first-place nods. Lincoln Memorial rounds out the top four.

Additionally, the SAC has announced its Players to Watch List with three Wasps making the list. Junior forward/midfielder Charlotte Stavis (Charlotte, N.C.), senior defender Olivia DaSilva (Newton, N.J.) and freshman forward Sadie Moseley (Chula Vista, Calif.) all earned the honor.

Emory & Henry opens the 2025 regular season on Saturday, September 6 on the road at Virginia State University. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. from Ettrick, Virginia.
