BREVARD, N.C. – The Emory & Henry University Men's & Women's Cross Country Teams got the 2025 season started on Friday evening, competing at the second annual Brevard Cross Classic. The men's squad took second place while the women's team was sixth.

The Women – 5K
- Senior Elise McKinney (Church Hill, Tenn.) finished 19th with a time of 19:56 to lead the Wasps. Junior Kennedy Harris (Mineral, Va.) was 21st in 19:58 while junior McKenzie Tate (Wytheville, Va.) ran a 21:32 to place 46th.
- Sophomore Tess Somervell (Chilhowie, Va.) placed 47th with a 21:36 and junior Maya Turner (Midland, Va.) was 50th with her time of 21:56.
- Radford claimed the title, placing five runners in the top 11. Gardner Webb's Jessica Perriello was the individual champion as she posted a time of 18:18.
The Men – 8K
- Senior Miles Baldwin (Willis, Va.) placed 4th as E&H's top finisher, running a 27:15. Senior Samuel Tindall (Fort Defiance, Va.) was 7th in 27:33 while junior Davis Norman (Salem, Va.) stopped the clock in 27:44 to take 9th.
- Aidan Trautman (Centreville, Md.) finished 11th with a time of 27:56 as freshman J.T. Moore (Chilhowie, Va.) rounded out the Wasps' scorers in 38th (29:12).
- Tusculum won the team event with the top two runners. Nathan Buckeridge claimed medalist honors in 25:35, winning the race by a minute and 14 seconds.
