Emory & Henry wrapped up the 2025-26 season with duals against Newberry and Mount Olive.

NEWBERRY, S.C. – The Emory & Henry Women's Wrestling Team wrapped up the 2025-26 regular season with duals against Newberry and Mount Olive. E&H secured the victory against Newberry with a pinfall in the final match of the dual to win 23-21, but came up short with Mount Olive 38-11.

Emory & Henry, 23 Newberry, 21

 - The match began with 3 forfeits at 103, 110, and 117, with 110 being a double forfeit while the other went in favor of Newberry. Junior Natalia Langer (Powhatan, Va.) was up in the first official bout of the dual. Langer would pin Trinity Halls in the final :30 seconds of the first period to put E&H on the board. Mak Robinson (Spotsylvania, Va.) was next up for the Wasps, Robinson lost by pinfall to Brittany Gordon in 2:38. The only match that went the distance saw Tana loving come out on top over Summer McKeen in a 7-5 decision.

- Emory & Henry rolled from there on out, Molly Keller (Fairlawn, Va.), Rihana Carson (Roanoke, Va.), and Allison Gabarrete (Jeffersonton, Va.) all won by pinfall in 2:48, 2:21, and 1:01 respectively. Gabarrete's win gave the Wasps the last push they needed to take the dual 23-21. 

Emory & Henry, 11 Mount Olive, 38

- The first 3 weight classes would all end in forfeit in favor of the Trojans giving Mount Olive a 15-0 advantage early on. Langer, Loving, and Robinson all fell in the first period of their respective bouts. 

- Molly Keller made quick work of Savannah Chesney, earning the pinfall victory in :28 seconds, giving E&H their first points of the contest. Rihana Carson's bout would go deep into the second period but she would come up short losing by technical superiority 12-1 to Elaina Pollock. Journey Land for Mount Olive would win by forfeit at 180. Allison Gabarrete dispatched Zaria Robinson in 1:31 in the final match of the evening scoring Emory & Henry's last points of the dual. 

Up Next
Tonight's contest wrapped up the regular season for the Wasps. They will be back in action at the NCWWC Region III Championships on February 20th and 21st.
