Emory & Henry Women’s Wrestling Sees Six Named NWCA Scholar All-Americans

MANHEIM, Pa. – The Emory & Henry University Women's Wrestling Team has seen six of its members named to the NWCA Scholar All-America Team for the 2024-25 season.

Senior Skie Rice (Chesterfield, Va.) and sophomore Molly Keller (Fairlawn, Va.) earn the honor for the second year in a row and are joined by sophomores Natalia Sanchez (Powhatan, Va.) and Madison Wilson (Henrico, Va.) as well as freshmen Rihana Carson (Roanoke, Va.) and Alex Costello (Johnson City, Tenn.)

These student-athletes demonstrated excellence both on the mat and in the classroom, meeting one of the following academic and athletic criteria:

- Competed in a minimum of 15 matches recorded in Trackwrestling with at least a 3.5 Cumulative GPA
- A national qualifier with at least a 3.25 Cumulative GPA
- A top-eight placer at nationals with at least a 3.0 Cumulative GPA

"The NWCA is proud to honor these outstanding individuals who demonstrate excellence on the mat and in the classroom as well," said NWCA Executive Director Mike Moyer.

Across the South Atlantic Conference Carolinas, 27 women's wrestlers were honored with King (Tenn.) University leading the way with 10. E&H was second with six honorees followed by Emmanuel (Ga.) University with four, Lincoln Memorial University with three and University of Mount Olive and Newberry College with two each.
