EMORY, Va. - The Emory & Henry University Men's Tennis Team (0-8) and Women's Tennis Team (1-7) dropped a pair of home South Atlantic Conference matches to nationally-ranked Lenoir-Rhyne University Wednesday afternoon. The Bears took both matches by 7-0 scores.

- The Bears earned wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles to take the point and the early 1-0 advantage. Senior Keenan Glago (Harrisonburg, Va.) and Gus Senn (Charlotte, N.C.) were tied 4-4 at No. 3 doubles, but the match was left unfinished.
- Senior Nathan Spurling (Abingdon, Va.) was defeated 2-6, 2-6 by Vitor Ferreira at No. 1 singles.
- Freshman Bangalie Turay (Las Vegas, Nev.) fell by a 1-6, 6-2 score to Vadym Rogynski at the No. 2 singles spot.
- Glago dropped a 0-6, 0-6 decision to Raphael Champaud in their No. 3 singles match.
- Sophomore Leo Knothe (Hanover, GERMANY) was bested 1-6, 2-6 by Hudson Spencer at No. 4 singles.
- Senior Tristan Hicks (Abingdon, Va.) was downed 2-6, 2-6 at No. 5 singles.
- Senn put up a fight, but fell by a 4-6, 2-6 final to Victor Oliva in their No. 6 singles match.
Women's Match
- Lenoir-Rhyne won both No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to take the point and 1-0 advantage.
- Sophomore Tahnne Sesma (Zumaia, SPAIN) was defeated 1-6, 0-6 by Runa Muderrisoglu at No. 1 singles.
- Junior Olivia Pursley (Hendersonville, N.C.) fell by a 2-6, 1-6 score to Nellie Wahlberg at the No. 2 singles spot.
- Sophomore Ellyson Kovacs (Bristol, Tenn.) came up short by a 1-6, 2-6 margin to Claudia Orsini in their No. 3 singles match.
- Senior Nina Williams (Fleet, ENGLAND) battled, but fell 2-6, 4-6 to Mehetia Boosie at the No. 4 singles position.
- Senior Katie Bradley (Auchterarder, SCOTLAND) was downed 1-6, 1-6 at No. 5 singles.
- Freshman Sarah McClure (Lansing, N.C.) was defeated 1-6, 5-7 by Hallie Younger at the No. 6 singles spot.
