Emory & Henry Men’s Wrestling Picked 15th In Preseason Poll

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Emory & Henry University Men's Wrestling Team has been picked to finish in 15th place in Conference Carolinas this year by the league's head coaches. The poll was released by the conference office on Thursday.

Four-time defending conference champion Lander University is picked as favorites to take the league with 13 of the 15 available first-place votes. The University of Mount Olive is second in the poll with one top nod while UNC Pembroke sits in third. King (Tenn.) University rounds out the top four squads.

Additionally, the conference has announced its Wrestlers to Watch List with three Wasps earning the honor. Sophomore Evan Alger (Pulaski, Va.), graduate student Levi Field (Manassas, Va.) and junior Sebastian Gabarrete (Jeffersonton, Va.) were all named as players to keep an eye on throughout the 2025-26 season. 

Emory & Henry will get the season underway on Saturday, November 1 at the Glenville State Invite in Glenville, West Virginia.
