Coker Men’s Wrestling Tops Emory & Henry, 43-6, In Conference Carolinas Dual Monday

EMORY, Va. – The Emory & Henry Men's Wrestling Team (0-3, 0-3 Carolinas) dropped a Conference Carolinas dual to Coker University (1-2, 1-2 Carolinas) inside the John Rutledge King Center Monday evening. The Cobras defeated the Wasps by a 43-6 final score.

The Match
- The match began at 24-0 in favor of the Cobras due to unfilled weight classes at 133, 157, 184 and 285 pounds.
- Junior Logan Arnold (Rocky Mount, Va.) battled tooth and nail in his bout at 141 pounds, before eventually coming up just short by an 8-7 decision in the first period of sudden victory to Frank Bianco.
- Senior Isaiah Dotson (Jonesville, Va.) lost by a 16-7 major decision to Jamarion Whetstone at 149 pounds.
- Sophomore Sebastian Gaberrete (Jeffersonton, Va.) picked up a hard-fought win by a narrow 11-8 decision at 174 pounds over Anderson Hall.
- Redshirt freshman Evan Alger (Pulaski, Va.) defeated Coker's Cephus Deas by a 15-8 decision at the 197-pound weight class.
