INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – For the second week in a row, the Emory & Henry College Women's Basketball Team is the number two-ranked team in the NCAA Division III South Region, NCAA officials announced Wednesday. The Wasps are one of two programs from the Old Dominion Athletic Conference to be ranked as Guilford College slips one spot to number nine.

Emory & Henry (20-3, 13-3 ODAC) has won 13 of its last 14 games and is poised to solidify the #2 seed in next week's ODAC Tournament. The Wasps have a pair of wins over No. 16 teams this season, opening the year with a 58-56 victory over Marymount University and concluding 2018 with a 76-56 rout of Christopher Newport University.

The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor remains the top-ranked program in the region. The University of Texas-Dallas moves to third while Emory University jumps into the ranking at fourth. Trinity (Texas) College is fifth for a second week in a row while Austin College is sixth, Millsaps Collge is seventh and Oglethorpe University is eighth.

Emory & Henry will host Hollins University in the penultimate game of the regular season on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. The contest will also serve as the Wasps' annual Play4Kay Game promoting the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
