Emory & Henry Men's & Women's Track & Field Finishes Season At Phoenix Invitational Saturday

ELON, N.C. – The Emory & Henry College Men's & Women's Track & Field Teams closed out the 2018 season Saturday at the Phoenix Invitational. The Wasps put up season-best times in seven of the eight NCAA-sanctioned events in which they competed, including all four of the throwing events.

Top Performances
- Sophomore Trel Phillips (Ooltewah, Tenn.) was sixth overall in the shotput (13.26m) while sophomore Justin Fannon (Abingdon, Va.) took 11th.
- Junior Jordan Powers (Chilhowie, Va.) tied for seventh in the high jump at 1.81 meters.
- Freshman Markell Moss (Wytheville, Va.) clocked a 10th-place finish in the 110 meter hurdles at :16.35.
- Junior Zane Moran (Floyd, Va.) stoped the watches in 10:04.04 in the 3,000 meters.
- Freshman Alette McGuire (Chesapeake, Va.) placed 21st in the 1,500 meters (5:38.60).
- Junior Asia Stephens (Vinton, Va.) took 26th in the shot put (9.52m).
