ROCK HILL, S.C. - The Emory & Henry University Men's Basketball Team has seen three players selected to All-South Atlantic Conference Teams, officials announced Tuesday. Sophomore guard Korbin Dixon (Milton, Ontario CANADA) was named to the All-SAC Second Team, junior guard Jackson Crawford (Daleville, Va.) was selected to the All-SAC Third Team and freshman guard Melchior Hughes (Geneva, SWITZERLAND) picked up All-SAC Freshman Team honors. It is the first time the Wasps have had an All-SAC selection since Gabe Brown was named to the All-SAC Third Team following the 2022-23 season.

Dixon leads the Wasps and ranks third in the SAC with 18.0 points per game. He also put up 3.6 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 2.0 assists per contest. The sophomore scored in double digits in 26 of 28 total games, including eclipsing the 20-point mark on 12 separate occasions. Dixon tallied a career-high 32 points in a win over border rival King (Tenn.) University.
Crawford is second on the squad with 15.1 points per game, while also averaging 2.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists. He leads the SAC and is ranked third in the nation with a 92.7 free throw percentage. He has put up double digits in points in 22 games, including 20 or more points on nine occasions. Crawford went for a season-high 29 points at Lenoir-Rhyne.
Hughes is averaging 8.6 points, 3.0 rebounds, 0.9 assists and 0.6 steals per game in his first season as a Wasp. He leads the team and is 12th in the SAC with a 40.2% three-point field goal percentage. Hughes has gone for double digits in 11 contests and exploded for a career-high 27 points on seven made threes in a win over Southwest Virginia rival the University of Virginia's College at Wise.
Carson-Newman University's Jack Browder was named the SAC Player of the Year while Anderson's Jimmie Williams was selected as the SAC Coach of the Year. AJ Wright Jr. from Anderson was picked as the SAC Defensive Player of the Year while Anderson's Rashawn Inglemon was named SAC Freshman of the Year. Akili Evans of Lenoir-Rhyne University earned SAC Newcomer of the Year honors.
