Tony Hart is in his fourth year as an Assistant Football Coach at Emory & Henry College. He joins the staff on field this season and will work with the quarterbacks as well as the Wasps’ special teams units after previously serving as a strategic assistant with the program.
A graduate of Roanoke College, Hart extensive coaching and scouting experience to the table as he has made a career as a physical education teacher and coach in the Roanoke Valley.
The recipient of the 2015 Dave Thomas Twelfth Man Award, Hart has assisted Emory & Henry in recruiting by watching film on each of the Wasps’ recruits. He has also assisted in scouting of opponents and assists from the coaching box on Saturday afternoons.
Hart played quarterback for Emory & Henry during the late 1970s prior to transferring to Roanoke where he completed his degree.
Hart was the Head Coach at Lord Botetourt High School for four years and also served as an assistant coach at William Fleming High School and Patrick Henry High School. He also had a stint as a high school football radio announcer for WGMN and the former WWWR in Roanoke.
