Jordan Jackson Nominated For Harlon Hill Trophy

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Emory & Henry Football senior running back Jordan Jackson (Richmond, Va.) has been named among 36 nominees for the prestigious Harlon Hill Trophy as the Division II College Football Player of the Year.

Jackson rushed for his second consecutive 1,000-yard season in 2025 as he led the conference with 1,102 rushing yards and was second in the SAC with 19 rushing touchdowns. He eclipsed the 100-yard rushing mark on five separate occasions, including rushing for a career-high 226 yards in the season-opening win over Glenville State. Jackson also had five games with multiple rushing touchdowns, including reaching the end zone four times against Newberry. His 19 touchdown season places him third in program history for rushing scores in a single campaign.

A total of eight nominees hail from Super Region 1, eight from Super Region 2, eight from Super Region 3 and 12 from Super Region 4. The sports information directors at their respective schools initially nominate candidates. The SIDs in those Super Regions vote for their top five candidates. The winner is then determined in a nationwide vote of the Division II sports information directors. The winner of the 2025 award will be announced on Friday, December 19.

The Hill Trophy is named for the late Harlon Hill - the former University of North Alabama standout - who excelled with the Lions from 1950-53 before going on to fame in the National Football League with the Chicago Bears.
