Ean Rhea Named NCAA.com National Defensive Player Of The Week

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Emory & Henry University junior defensive lineman Ean Rhea (Glade Spring, Va.) has been named as the NCAA.com Defensive Player of the Week for games played during week four.

Rhea had seven tackles, three sacks, 3.5 tackles for loss, one forced fumble and a pair of quarterback hurries in the Wasps' 42-13 romp over South Atlantic Conference opponent Anderson (S.C.) University. Rhea now leads the South Atlantic Conference in both sacks (5.5) and tackles for loss (9.5).

It is the first time since Emory & Henry has transitioned to the Division II ranks that a Wasp has been named national player of the week by the NCAA. 

Emory & Henry (4-1, 3-1 SAC) is at home this Saturday, October 4 when the Wasps host Carson-Newman University for Sports Hall of Fame Induction and Military and First Responder Appreciation Day. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. from Fred Selfe Stadium at Nicewonder Field.
