BRISTOL, Va. – The Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry University IHSA Team captured back-to-back wins this weekend, earning a perfect score on Saturday.

OPEN
-The weekend started with Open Overfences, which saw freshman Nada Soueidan (Williamsburg, Va.) take the win aboard Pilgrim. She was followed by senior Erin Ryan (Seven Valleys, Pa), who earned fourth aboard Romeo, and sophomore Alexander Manca di Villahermosa (Cagliari, Sardinia, ITALY), who was fifth aboard Castino.
- On the flat, Souiedan rode to first on her draw Ferris. Junior Anna Norton (Charlotte, N.C.) made her IHSA debut, taking fifth aboard Lottie.
INTERMEDIATE
- Sophomore Gabriella Cotler (Livingston, N.J.) made her IHSA debut in the overfences, taking the aboard Romeo. Freshman Halley Rebelo (Swansea, Mass.) rode to a second-place finish with her ride on Taco, and junior Olivia Del Pinal (Fuquay-Varina, N.C.) took the win in Section B of fences with her ride on Jeter.
- The flat saw Del Pinal take the win aboard Will, Robello finished second with her ride on Kygo, and Villahermosa finished fourth on Izzy.
LIMIT
- Sophomore Irelyn Petrie (Nokesville, Va.) kicked off her IHSA career with a second-place finish aboard Irish. Sophomore Lauren Scott (Otego, N.Y.) took second place in Section B of fences with her ride on Leo, and junior Grace Simpson (Culepper, Va.) took the win in Section C aboard Brooks. This win has qualified Simpson for the Zone 4-Region 5 Championships in the spring.
- On the flat, junior Leah Vandenberg (Camillus, N.Y.) took the win aboard Ernesto, Simpson finished fourth in Section B on Imani, and junior Caylee Ostendorf (Goldsboro, N.C) took fourth in Section C aboard Nico.
NOVICE
- The Novice Equitation division saw junior Bailey Shive (Hot Springs, Ark.) take the win with her ride on Henri. Freshman Annika Saathoff (Arnold, Md.) made her IHSA debut, taking fourth aboard Talisman.
- In the Pre-Novice division, junior Evelyn Sheppard made her IHSA debut and finished second on her draw Aljano.
INTRODUCTORY
- The final flat section saw sophomore Elana Trejo (Rustburg, Va.) take the win aboard Fallon, and sophomore Megan Cassell (Marion, Va.) finished fourth with her ride on Gena.
The Awards
- Del Pinal was the High-Point Rider of the Day thanks to her wins over fences and on the flat.
- The team was High-Point Team of the Day with a perfect score of 49 points.

Freshman Rylie Miller (Bernville, Pa.) finished second aboard Berger in section B.
- The flat saw freshman Halley Rebelo (Swansea, Mass.) ride Castle to the win in section A, and Del Pinal took the win on Kygo in section B. Villahermosa finished fifth in section B aboard Grace.
LIMIT
- Junior Maia Hudson (Midland, Mich.) made her IHSA debut in the over fences, taking the win in Section A aboard Irish. Junior Serenity Eaton (Gulfport, FL) rode Fallon to the win in Section B, and senior Natalie Ross (Buckhead, Ga) rode to a second-place finish aboard Brooks in Section C.
- On the flat, Miller finished second aboard Imani, while sophomore Lauren Scott (Otego, N.Y.) and senior Mia King (Bluff City, TN) finished third in their sections, aboard Nico and Leo.
NOVICE
- Junior Bailey Shive (Hot Springs, Ark.) took the win in section A, this time riding Fallon. Junior Cetari White-Anderson finished fourth with aboard Imani.
- The Pre-Novice division, freshman Karina Warncke (Atlanta, Ga.) made her collegiate debut, finishing second aboard Splash.
