FOREST, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Baseball Team has been picked to finish 12th in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference this season, ODAC officials announced Wednesday. The poll is voted on by the head coaches of the league's baseball programs.

Emory & Henry posted a 5-9 (0-2 ODAC) record in 2020 before the season was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Wasps return 26 players from that team and welcome 13 newcomers to the fold.
This year, E&H is set to play a 23-game schedule, with the majority of its games against ODAC opponents. The Wasps will open the season at Bridgewater College on Saturday, March 13 with a doubleheader against the Eagles.

The home slate for Emory & Henry begins on Saturday, March 20 when Shenandoah University comes to town. Three straight weeks with midweek home games against Guilford College (Wed., Mar 24), Ferrum College (Tue., Mar. 30) and Maryville (Tenn.) College (Tue., Apr. 6) are next. E&H will host University of Lynchburg on Saturday, April 10 and has a single-game set for Wednesday, April 21 against Roanoke College. The Wasps close out the home slate with back-to-back weekend series against Eastern Mennonite University (Sat., Apr. 24) and Washington and Lee University (Sat., May 1).
Randolph-Macon College is the favorite to hoist the trophy, earning eight first-place votes while Shenandoah is second with three number-one picks. University of Lynchburg earned the final first-place vote and sits in third while Virginia Wesleyan University is fourth.
