Mike Snow is entering his eighthseason as an Assistant Football Coach. He will continue to work with the tight ends and also assist Mike Caro with the Wasps’ strength and conditioning program.

A 1978 E&H graduate, Snow played tight end for the Wasps under Coach Fred Selfe. A First-Team All-ODAC performer, he was named the team’s Most Valuable Offensive Player as a senior. Mike is the leading receiver in school history for tight ends and still holds at least four known records for that position. They are single season receptions at 40 and career receptions at 78. He also holds the tight end record for average yards per catch at 14.2 along with career yards at 1,106.

Snow was inducted into the Emory & Henry Sports Hall of Fame in 2015 for his excellence during his playing career. In 2012 he received the Dave Thomas Twelfth Man Award which recognizes individuals who make unusual and outstanding contributions to the E&H football program.

Snow is a 1974 graduate of Chilhowie High School where he played tight end and left offensive-tackle under E&H Hall of Fame’s Ron Bayles and lead their team to their only state football championship in 1970. “Mike Snow loved football! It was his passion…” is a quote written by Coach Bales in his book, “From Young Braves to Mighty Warriors.”

Snow is a certified strength and conditioning specialist as well as a certified specialist in sports nutrition.

He is retired from operating his own international shipping business in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, after 27 years. The company specialized in the worldwide transport of military and commercial explosives.

Snow has a son, Gabe, who is an actor and fitness model in New York, and a daughter, Ashley, who is a policy and process project lead at Vanguard located in Pennsylvania.
