FOREST, Va. - Emory & Henry College freshman Jalan McPherson was named an All-ODAC Honorable Mention at the conference tournament banquet on Wednesday night.
McPherson, a guard from Jonesville, Virginia started in 23 of 24 games this season, and was the leading freshman in ODAC scoring, averaging 13.8 points per game. McPherson was also fifth in the conference in 3-point baskets made.
Head Women's Basketball Coach Steve Kenner stated, "[Jalan] averaged nearly 32 minutes every night providing the Wasps with amazing fire power that complemented her competiveness and passion to will her team to victory."
McPherson will enter her sophomore year with some impressive career stats. She scored 334 points for the season to go along with 70 rebounds and 24 steals.
