Emory & Henry Women's Basketball Ranked No. 15 In Top 25 Poll

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Emory & Henry College Women's Basketball Team has moved up 12 places to the No. 15 spot in NCAA Division III, officials announced late Monday. The poll is voted on by a panel of 25 coaches, sports information directors and media members from across the country.

Emory & Henry, which is the only ranked team in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, is currently 5-0 on the season with a 1-0 record in the league. The Wasps have yet to play at home as they are in the midst of a seven-game road swing to open the year.

Christopher Newport University, which E&H will face at the University of Lynchburg's holiday tournament in December, moves up to No. 11 this week.

Bowdoin College moves up one spot to No. 1 in the nation, earning 17 of 25 first-place votes. Hope College and St. Thomas (Minn.) University are second and third, respectively while Thomas More and the University of Chicago round out the top five.

The Wasps travel to face Hollins University in an ODAC game on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m.
