It is the first time since December 20, 2017 that E&H has been considered for a spot in the WBCA Top 25.

Last year, Emory & Henry posted a school-record 23 wins on its way to the NCAA Division III Tournament Second Round. The Wasps also reached the ODAC Tournament Championship game for the first time since 2001.

E&H has four games this season against three opponents which appear in the ranking: No. 18 Marymount University, Christopher Newport University (RV) and Randolph-Macon College (RV).

Amherst College is the unanimous national favorite earning all eight first-place votes. The Mammoths are two-time defending national champions and are riding a 66-game winning streak. Bowdoin College is second while Hope College and St. Thomas (Minn.) University are third and fourth, respectively.

Emory & Henry is also the No. 23 team in NCAA Division III according to the Preseason Poll.

The Wasps will kick off the season on Friday, November 9 when they visit No. 18 Marymount. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
