DEMOREST, Ga. – The Emory & Henry College Softball Team has seen junior shortstop Leanna Toler (Abingdon, Va.) selected to the NCAA Division III Demorest Regional All-Tournament Team. The announcement was made following the conclusion of play on Monday afternoon.
Toler was selected as one of the top 10 players from the regional site as she went 4-for-10 with four RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base including a RBI triple in the third inning against Transylvania University on Saturday.
Region champion Emory University saw five players named to the group including Most Outstanding Player Jenna Wilson. Piedmont College and Transylvania both earned two spots on the squad.
Emory & Henry finished the season with a 26-18 record and its second appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament in three years. The Wasps were second in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference regular season with a program-best 14-6 league mark and fourth in the ODAC Tournament.
