After two seasons of intercollegiate competition, the E&H women’s swim team continues to improve.
“Building a strong swim team is kind of like building a house,” said head coach Jessica Hurd. “We are currently pouring our foundations and laying the building blocks for our future.”
After a season of strong individual performance, the Wasps look to improve their record as a team and establish consistency among swimmers.
The team will look for leadership from the only senior, team captain Catie Neal .
The 2009 season historic for the Wasps, marking the first time that the College will hold home swim meets. Improvements to the attractive E&H swimming pool have made possible home competitions.
“Although our program is still growing and may not appear established to some, with the new dedication and commitment from the coaching staff and swimmers, the Wasps swim team is building now for a positive future,” Hurd said.
