E&H Defeats Hollins in Soccer

EMORY, Va. -- A come-from-behind victory over Hollins University boosted the E&H women's soccer team to its seventh win under the lights at Fred Selfe Stadium Tuesday.

After jumping into the lead in the first half off a goal by Loren Favale assisted by Allison Azbell and Amanda Rogone, Emory & Henry sunk to a 1-2 deficit midway through the second period.

Two late-game goals eventually gave the Wasps the win. They were scored at the 72nd mark by Tosin Sanusi with an assist from Nikki Greco and by Greco at the 74:14 mark with an assist by Rachel Preston.

Emory & Henry out-shot Hollins 19 to 7, and goalie Hayley Poland made four saves.

The Wasps, now 2-2 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, travel to Eastern Mennonite Saturday for another ODAC contest.
