Emory & Henry's men's cross country team finished eighth while the women's team finished ninth at the Washington and Lee University Invitational Tournament Saturday.

While the teams failed to reach the top tiers in their respective competitions, top E&H runners posted some strong times, Karen Archibal finished the women's 6-kilometer couors in 32:16. Meanwhile, Cameron Taylor was the top E&H finisher with a 32:37 finish.

Head Coach Mike Abrahamson said his young group of runners gained valuable experience at Washington and Lee that will make the team more consistent and stronger in future meets.

Both teams will run in the Roanoke Invitatonal on Saturday, Sept. 20.
