The Emory & Henry volleyball team is gearing up to host a Dig Pink game in honor of legendary men's basketball coach Bob Johnson. The game, which features Emory & Henry against Southern Virginia, will be held Friday, Oct. 9, at 7 p.m. in the King Center Gymnasium.
All proceeds from the game will benefit the Side-Out Foundation, established in 2004 to raise money and awareness about breast cancer through the recreational activity of volleyball, as well as the Fred Self Athletic Stadium in honor of Johnson.
"This is a really great opportunity for Emory & Henry to come together and show love for Bob Johnson through contributions to the stadium construction. It's also a great way to support health care professionals in their pursuit of practical solutions for cancer research," head volleyball coach Cassie Pochyla said.
