Quintin Hunter is entering his first year as the Run Game Coordinator and his fourth season on staff as an Assistant Football Coach at Emory & Henry College. Hunter will make a position shift this season and will now work with the Wasps’ quarterbacks.
While leading the E&H running backs the past three years, Emory & Henry averaged 190 yards per game and 4.7 yards per carry. He has coached a pair of players to All-ODAC performances while also producing a balanced ground attack with E&H’s other rushers.
Hunter comes to E&H from James Madison University where he was a three- year letterwinner on the football field for the Dukes after transferring from the University of Virginia after his freshman year. He was selected as one of 300 participants in the NCAA’s Career in Sports Forum where he attended personal development workshops in the forum’s “Coaching Track.”
In addition to his work in college football, Hunter has been extensively involved in coaching, refereeing, volunteering and serving as a camp counselor with various organizations.
Hunter completed his bachelor’s degree in sport management at James Madison in December of 2013.
