MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The Emory & Henry College Football Team has seen one of its players selected to the 2017 D3football.com All-South Region Third Team, D3football.com officials announced Tuesday. Junior defensive tackle Josh Fleenor (Christiansburg, Va.) adds all-region honors to his All-ODAC First Team selection from last month.
It is the third year in a row that Emory & Henry has been represented on the D3football.com All-South Region Team with five selections over that three-year period.
Fleenor earns his first all-region accolades after a breakout year on the Wasps' defensive line. The junior led the squad with 13.5 tackles for loss, returned an interception 90 yards for a touchdown and broke up five other passes on the year. He was also third on the team in overall tackles with 57. Fleenor posted at least one tackle for loss in each game with his best contest coming against Hampden-Sydney College.
