Dettmar Named to ODAC Honorable Mention

EMORY, Va. (May 4, 2009) -- An Emory & Henry first-base player received Honorable Mention honors on the 2009 All-Conference Softball Team of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.

Senior Dana Dettmar ranked second in the ODAC in batting average with a .438. She finished her career with 22 career home runs, ranking her seventh all-time on the ODAC home run list.

She holds the school record for the most home runs in a season (nine) and holds the state record for most home runs in a game (three). She also is tied for the state record for most RBIs in a game (nine). She tied for 6th in NCAA history with 14 totbal bases in a game with (14). During the 2008 season, she was named ODAC Player of the Week and was named to the ODAC All-Tournament Team in 2007.
