EMORY, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Athletic Department will hold its Sixth Annual I-HEY Golf Tournament on Monday, June 3. The event will take place at Glenrochie Country Club in Abingdon with a shotgun start set for 9:00 a.m.
The tournament is held in appreciation of the loyal contributors to the I-HEY Fund and to support the operational needs of the E&H Athletic Department.
The format for the tournament is four-man “best ball” with prizes for the first and second place teams. A $10,000 prize for a hole-in-one is also available. Registration will run from 7:45 a.m. to 8:45 a.m., with continental breakfast served in the clubhouse. Lunch and a brief awards ceremony will follow the conclusion of the event.
The registration fee is $125 per person with a 100-person limit to the field. Sponsorship opportunities are also available. Hole sponsorships are available for $250, while Friends of the Tournament sponsorships are $100.
I-HEY is the official fundraising arm of Emory & Henry College’s athletic department. For more than 60 years, alumni and friends have supported athletic programs at E&H by joining I-HEY (I Help Every Year). Contributions, which go directly to the Athletic Department, help teams purchase equipment and pay for travel to and from competition. Gifts earmarked to I-HEY will help young men and women become leaders on the field and court as well as in the classroom.
