EMORY, Va. (Oct. 9, 2009) -- The Emory & Henry men's soccer team looked for signs of hope in a close match against a tough Randolph-Macon team Friday, but those hopes were not to be realized as the Wasps added their 11th loss to their 2009 record.

Both teams remained scoreless through the first half of play, as each team sought to seize control of the match. In the second half, Randolph-Macon secured the win by scoring the only point of the match at the 64:21 mark.

The Yellow Jackets controlled the ball for most of the contest, attempting 20 shots while the Wasps had 10 attempts. Daniel Mills of Emory & Henry managed nine saves, while Randolph-Macon's Colin Royster had four.

Emory & Henry has struggled this season, losing all six of its ODAC matches to date.

During the last 10 games, the Wasps have managed only two goals, one from Heath Culbreth with an assist from Erik Olson in a match against Covenant University and one from the foot of Josh Stamey with an assist from PJ Henson in a match against Averett University.
