An Emory & Henry sophomore from Quinton, Va., won the annual Wasper 5K Oct. 18 during the college’s Homeco
ming celebration.
Cameron Taylor (photo, right) won the meet with a time of 19:13. Three other members of the E&H team finished in the top 10: Will Gardner of Chapel Hill, N.C., third place with a time of 20:18; Chris Caruana of Pasa Robles, Calif., fifth place with a time of 20:51; and Will Garrison of Abingdon, Va. (photo, left), ninth place with a time of 21:49.
Taylor was an All-State and All-Conference cross country athlete in high school and was named Most Valuable Player on his high school cross country team for three years.
