EMORY, Va. -- The Yellow Jackets of Randolph Macon handed the Emiory & Henry Wasps their sixth loss of the season with a 61-40 victory Saturday.
The Wasps played competitively against the strong conference foe, entering the second half down 27-29. But Randolph Macon’s David Carlson helped keep Emory & Henry at bay 13 straight points to start the second half.
Terrance Griggs was the leading scorer for the Wasps with 13. Josh Cunningham also added 12 points for the Wasps while Jarren Dyson led the Wasps with assists.
Randolph Macon’s David Carlson led all scorers while posting a double double with 22 points, 11 rebounds.
With the loss, the Wasps moved to 1-6 (0-2 ODAC) for the year. Two of the team's losses came earlier in the week on the road. The Wasps narrowly fell to Ferrum College, 72-76, Monday. Two days later, the E&H team lost to Greensboro 59-76.
The Wasps look to get back in the winner’s circle when they play King College at home on Wednesday.
