EMORY, Va. (Jan. 24, 2010) -- A late offensive rally proved insufficient for the Emory & Henry men's basketball team as it fell to the Hornets of Lynchburg College in a close home game, 91-96.
Lynchburg College’s Steven Echols put up 24 points in the first half, sending the Wasps to the locker room down 62-43. The Wasps (2-16, 0-9 ODAC) went on a 12-2 run to open up the second half, narrowing the lead to two points, but the Hornets regained enough momentum to come away with the win.
Terrence Grigg led the Wasps in scoring with 28 points followed by Jordan Short with 22 points and JD Dyson with 18.
The Wasps will take on Bridgewater College Wednesday night at home.
