Paul Russo begins his fourth season as head coach for the Wasps. Russo is the first to follow after the retirement of the Legendary Bob Johnson.A native of Cary, North Carolina, Russo played high school basketball at Cardinal Gibbons High School. Russo, a 2002 Emory & Henry graduate, was a 3-year starting point guard for Coach Bob Johnson’s Wasps. Russo led the ODAC and ranked 5th nationally as he dished out 171 assists (6.6 per game) during his senior year. Russo scored 706 points in his three seasons with the Wasps and ranks 4th all-time on E&H’s all time assist list with 406 during his career.
Russo recently received his Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration from Nichols State University while serving as Assistant Men’s basketball coach for 2 seasons. He also served as an assistant for E&H for three seasons.
