Recruiting
Over the years, men's tennis has been one of the most successful athletic programs at Emory & Henry. In addition to a great winning tradition, the program has seen players place in the top five at the state level. Legendary coach Bill Rhudy guided his teams to 423 wins in 21 seasons. His son, Rick Rhudy, guided his teams to 78 wins in just five seasons winning 81 percent of their matches. Current head coach Jim Barker is well on his way to building a men's tennis program that will rival the previous achievements of E&H men's tennis. In 2003, the team placed third in the ODAC tournament, the best finish since 1985. Barker currently has 54 career wins. Singles players Al Morris and Wes Martin were named to the All-ODAC Second Team, along with the doubles team of Morris and Aaron Richardson. Recent greats include First Team Academic All-American Dave Graybeal and the highly regarded Adam Smith who collected a (19-3) record and 2005 graduate, Dustin Bays, compiled an 11-5 singles record.Want to play tennis at E&H?
