After a decade without a men's cross-country squad, the E&H team bounded to a strong restart in 1998, winning the Virginia Creeper Trail Run and the E&H Invitational. Beginning in 2008, Michael Abrahamson signed on to be the new Cross Country coach and brings great leadership and enthusiasm. One of Emory & Henry's greatest cross-country runners, Chris Copenhaver, went on to a coaching career in Grayson county. Three of the program's recent successful harriers are Jonathan Seidel, Michael Worrell and Zach Moldenhauer.
