The previous E&H record for consecutive successful free throws was 26, set in 1980. Dyson returns to the Wasps for his senior season after appearing in all 26 games during the 2008-2009 season, starting 15. Dyson led the team in assists and averaged 7.1 points a game. Dyson scored a season high 20 points at UVA-Wise on 12/1/08, including going 8-8 from the Free Throw line. The Wasps look for Dyson to have his best season yet while providing strong leadership and endless energy.

- 11Josh RigneyGJR6'0" / 160Radford, VA / Radford High SchoolJosh Rigney recently tied an Old Dominion Athletic Conference record for three-pointers. Rigney scored a career-high 33 points in a game against King College and was his team's lead scorer. All 33 points were the result of 11 three-pointers. Rigney, a junior, is a graduate of Radford High School in Radford, Va.

- 22Bobby StaffordPGJR5'11 / 170Jonesville, VA / Lee High SchoolBobby Stafford appeared in 25 games for the Wasps during the 2008-2009 season, starting 10. Stafford finished the season second on the team in assists. Stafford proved to be an intense defender and solid facilitator of the offense. The Wasps will rely on Stafford’s toughness and leadership this season while playing multiple positions on the floor. Bobby Stafford, a physical education major, was named All-District and All-Region during his high school career.

- 25Michael OwensGSO6'0 / 162Quinton, VA / New Kent High SchoolMichael Owens returns to the Wasps after appearing in two games during the 2008-2009 season. After an off-season of hard work, Owens will be expected to contribute to depth and production at the guard position this season. Undeniably the hardest worker on the team, Owens provides consistent leadership and solid play in the backcourt.

- 30Michael McCownGSO5'11 / 165Radford, VA / Radford High SchoolMichael McCown appeared in nine games for the Wasps during the 2008-2009 season. McCown played a career high 15 minutes and scored a career high six points against Randolph College on 2/14/09. McCown will be counted on to provide depth at the forward position this season after an off season of hard work.

- 33Josh BrownFSR6'6 / 225Mt. Airy, NC / Millersburg Military Acad.Josh Brown returns to the Wasps after appearing in all 26 games during the 2008-2009 season. As a key reserve last season, Brown averaged 8.2 points a game, was second on the team in rebounding, and led the team in charges taken. Brown scored in double figures nine times last season, including career highs of 20 points and 14 rebounds against Westminster on 12/30/08. As a senior leader of the Wasps this season, Brown will be counted on to anchor the middle of the Wasp attack. Mass Communications major Joshua Brown was named to the North Carolina Gator AAU team that posted three state championships. In high school, he was named MVP and to the All-Tournament of the St. Joe Invitational in high school. Brown was twice named to the Millersburg Military Institute dean's list. He recently traveled to Africa and worked at an orphanage.

- 42Terrance GriggFJR6'5 / 190Charlotte, NC / Hopewell High SchoolTerrance Grigg appeared in all 26 games during the 2008-2009 season, starting 21. Grigg is the leading returning scorer for the Wasps, averaging 10.3 points a game. Grigg scored a career high 22 points and grabbed a career high nine rebounds against Eastern Mennonite on 1/21/09. The Wasps will turn to Grigg this season for more production from the forward position. Grigg was named to the All Conference First Team in the Mecca 6 Conference and to the All Lake Norman Charlotte Observer First Team. He was also a Charlottle Pro-Am High School All Star nominee. A high school honor student, Grigg enjoys basketball and music.

- 44Josh CunninghamFJR6'4 / 200Vinton, VA / William Byrd High SchoolJosh Cunningham returns to the Wasps after appearing in 21 games during the 2008-2009 season. He scored a season high 12 points against UVA-Wise on 11/17/08. Cunningham’s ability to shoot the ball makes him a threat wherever he is on the court. He will be looked upon to provide scoring, rebounding, and leadership for the Wasps this season. Cunningham, who is majoring in physical education, was First Team All-District his senior year of high school and was named to the honorable mention All Region team.
