Recruiting

The sky is the limit for baseball at Emory & Henry. Under the leadership of new head coach Trey McCall, the Emory & Henry baseball team is full of potential. The Wasps have made the ODAC Tournament twice in recent years. In 2003, the Wasps chalked up impressive wins against top teams. Also, second baseman Tommy Forrester earned Verizon First Team Academic All-South District honors. The team has spawned several successful graduates. Among them are outfielder Keith Maiden who played minor league ball for a season and All-American catcher Jared Beck who graduated with the fourth highest career slugging percentage in NCAA Division III history. Recent graduate Brandon Matheny, who led the nation in strikeouts during two of his years at Emory & Henry, was drafted by the Cleveland Indians organization and made it as high as AAA but is now retired due to an injury.
