Justin Harvey is in his first year as the Head Men's & Women's Golf Coach at Emory & Henry College. A 2012 graduate of Tusculum College, Harvey is a native of Kingsport, Tennessee, playing prep golf at Dobyns-Bennett High School.
He is tasked with the recruitment of a men's golf team during the spring of 2016 which will begin to compete in the 2016-17 academic year. During the 2016-17 season, Harvey will recruit for the Wasps' women's golf team, which will begin play in 2017-18, in addition to coaching the men's team.
As an undergraduate at Tusculum, Harvey contributed to four team tournament wins with a 76.83 career scoring average. He was the individual champion at the 2011 Link Hills Invitational, finished third in the Tri-Cities Men’s Amateur Tour in 2011 and was the 2010 Golf Channel East Tennessee Amateur Tour Player of the Year. He also was the 2003 Tennessee Junior Tour State Champion, a tour for players 13 and under.
Also excelling in the classroom as mathematics major and computer science minor, Harvey was named a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-American Scholar by the Golf Coaches Association of America for the 2011-12 season. Harvey earned a Master of Arts degree in 2014 from Tusculum. He is also a PGA Apprentice, a certified TPI Professional and earned his TPI Golf Level 2 Golf Coach certification in the fall of 2016.
