Sports Camps: Sharing the Knowledge that Builds the Tradition

Continuing a proud athletic tradition is important to the coaches of Emory & Henry College. To meet this goal, coaches believe in sharing the knowledge and skills that helped build that tradition with every generation of athletes. Each summer, some coaching staffs hold camps for athletes at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels.

Boy's Team Basketball Camps: June 18 - 21, 20009
E&H basketball coaches lead these camps designed to improve teamwork among boys' high school varsity and junior varsity basketball teams. Contact Paul Russo, prusso [at] ehc [dot] edu, for more information.

Soccer coach Anna Baker leads this five day camp on the fundamentals of soccer for grades three – seven.  For more information contact Baker at abaker [at] ehc [dot] edu.

Girls's Team Basketball Camps: June 22 - 25, 2009

Football Camp: June 29 - July 2, 2009
Students in grades six - 12 are guided by the E&H football staff, players and area coaches in the fundamentals of the game. The techniques and drills of each position are emphasized with the opportunity for one-on-one instruction with E&H position coaches. An athletic trainer, strength coach, speed coach, and their staff are available at each session. Little Wasps Basketball Camp:  July 13 - 17, 2009
This camp is a special week of half-day sessions for youngsters in grades three -seven. The primary objectives for this camp will be to introduce fundamentals and to give each camper a better understanding of how the game of basketball should be played. A sound introduction into the fundamentals of the game is a must. The camp is for boys and girls and the cost is $75. Contact Paul Russo, prusso [at] ehc [dot] edu, for more information.

Volleyball Day Camp: July 22, 2009

Volleyball Camp: July 23 - 25, 2009
This three-day camp works on improving teamwork among varsity and junior-varsity high school teams. Campers are aided in drills and bonding experiences by Wasps coaches and players.
